Mandarin Gallery's Singapore Food Trail...

Here’s a piece of good news for all foodies! In lieu of the highly anticipated Singapore Food Festival (SFF) this month as well as to celebrate Singapore’s 52nd birthday, Mandarin Gallery has worked very closely with selected restaurants (Antoinette, Arteastiq, Lawry’s The Prime Rib and The Providore) to present the Singapore Food Trail. These restaurants have specially created locally-inspired food and drinks for diners from now till 9th August 2017.

Bring along an empty stomach because you are going to indulge in your favourite eats with a local twist such as the refreshing Singapore Sling Mocktail from the Providore, addictive Salted Egg-inspired Pastry (Orient) at Antoinette, damn value-for-money Two-way Lobster from Arteastiq, and the flavourful Chilli Crab Pasta with Soft Shell Crab from Lawry’s The Prime Rib.

Shoppers can also stand a chance to win dining vouchers worth $100 from each of the above restaurants by following Mandarin Gallery on Instagram (@mandaringallery) and Facebook (facebook.com/mandaringallery), and leaving a comment on our campaign post telling us which dish they would like to try the most and why. Hurry and join the contest because you might be the one walking away with the dining vouchers!

So, mark your calendar because you wouldn’t want to miss all these delectable treats! Bring along more friends so you can order more food!

My mouth is salivating while looking at the pictures! Definitely worth the trip down to Mandarin Gallery!

Singapore Sling Mocktail // $8.50++
The Singapore Sling Mocktail from the Providore is very refreshing, especially suitable for the hot weather in Singapore. Its sweet and sour combination opens up your appetite! Some of you might find the lime flavour a little strong but I thought it was just alright! The dried pineapple was crispy and very flavourful. Everyone was shocked when we took a bite because it was super yummy!

Orient // $9
This salted egg goodness at Antoinette was super addictive. Everyone was singing praises of it. The salted egg sauce was rich and flavourful, and it goes very well with the lotus seed mousse and crispy peanut base that has a subtle coconut flavour. A must-try! You won’t regret!

The oozing lava sauce was therapeutic to watch, and even more amazing when you taste it. Its exquisite appearance is definitely worth a snap for memory sake.

Two-Way Lobster // $38++
The barley risotto was surprisingly good because it looked very heavy and jelat to me when it was served to the table. It was not too soft nor hard, and flavour was really impressive. The lobsters were definitely fresh and sweet. What caught my attention was the otah in the crab shell which was very flavourful. I ate that all by myself.

Red Jubilee Drink // $5.20++
Created for National Day, the drink has a very strong rose (bandung) flavour. Thankfully it was not too sweet. Again, like the Providore, this drink from Lawry is cooling especially in the summer!

Chilli Crab Pasta with Soft Shell Crab // $38++
Lawry’s rendition of Singapore famous Chilli Crab pasta was not too bad, and I thought it was tuned more towards the sweeter side. I also liked how it was not too spicy, just a subtle kick at the end. Soft Shell Crab was well-marinated and crispy. Given a chance, I’ll definitely visit the place again!
