Only managed to do a flatlay of Tin Social’s appetisers because it was getting dark. In frame, Fried Kelong Prawns, Aberdeen Angus Sirloin Steak Tartare and Fried Chicken Wings.

I can’t remember the name of the mocktail but it was very refreshing. It was our welcome drink and I really liked it because it doesn’t taste artificial and it wasn’t overly sweet.

Aberdeen Angus Sirloin Steak Tartare // $14
I could already smell the fragrance of the truffle when the server was holding it at a distance away. My mouth was salivating when I saw the steak tartare. For only $14, the portion was huge. The steak was well-infused with truffle, and it didn’t overpower the flavour of the beer. By the way, Tin Hill Social is using grass-fed beef from Argentina which are known for being low-fat and that means you don’t have to worry about your calories! The bread was well-toasted, and even though we left it on the table for quite a while, it was still crispy. Perfect combination. Can I get a glass of red wine to go with this?

Fried Kelong Prawns // $14
The prawns were so good that I ate the shell as well. It was crispy and flavourful. I really liked how the prawns has a subtle minty flavour at the end. It was refreshing. The yoghurt sauce complimented the prawns very well. Sorry, this was legit so delicious I have to complain about the insufficient portion! Give me more leh!

Fried Chicken Wings // $14
The wings were definitely very crispy, and again, they were very generous with the portion. However, I was a little disappointed with the consistency of the Fried Chicken Wings. Some were salty, some were okay and some were bland. Probably need to keep a close watch when marinating.

Roast Sweet Potato // $24.50
Not a huge fan of veggies but I am more than willing to pay for this vegetarian dish. There is so many different flavours to it – sweet, sour and salty and they were all very well-balanced. Personally, I love the roasted sweet potatoes, goat’s cheese and quinoa. Combination was on point!

Tin Hill Rangers Valley Black Angus Brisket Burger // $28.50
This massive beef burger will definitely appeal to all meat-lovers. Just look at how gigantic the beef is! They were well-marinated and tender. Also, the sweet potato fries were deadly addictive. They were well-seasoned and crispy.

Tin Hill Seafood Stew // $32
No doubt why this is the signature of Tin Hill Social. We all unanimously agreed that this was the best dish of the night. It was so good that we were all fighting to finish it. Again, they were very generous with the seafood servings. The broth was rich and flavourful, and you just want to go sip after sip.

Slow Braised Beef Short Rib Pie // $28.50
Slowly braised in red wine for 6 hours, the short ribs was super tender, and has a subtle red wine flavour. The pie was well-baked, not too floury. Recommended to share because it was really heavy.

Campania Pizza
Made in-house, the pizza crust was damn good, not thick or thin. I didn’t know tomatoes can taste this good! A must-try!

Whisky Dry Aged Australian Grain Fed Wagyu Rump // $110
This is Tin Hill Social’s new pride and joy. If you are a huge meat (beef) eater, you should go for this! Definitely worth every single penny. The meats were well-smoked, tender, flavourful and juicy. Good sharing platter for a large group of friends. By the way, the cherry tomatoes were soft and sweet.

Lemon and Passionfruit Delicious // $15
I thought the dessert was really well-executed in many levels. The passion curd wasn’t too sour or overly sweet, making it very enjoyable to eat. There were also weaver ants on the ice cream. Yes, dead ants on the ice cream but fear not, it doesn’t tastes bad but adds an extra flavour to it.

Valrhona Moelleux
Chocolate-lovers will love this! Lava cake was rich and moist, it’s subtle bitterness goes very well with the berries!
