Punjab Grill...

Indian cuisine has always been known for its heavy use of spices and herbs which explains why most of the popular Indian dishes are rich, creamy and flavourful. Besides Roti Prata and Nasi Briyani, I have yet to try any other genuine Indian food.

With the Entertainer App, I was able to have my first-ever fine dining experience at Punjab Grill without burning a huge hole in my pocket. If you haven’t heard about the Entertainer App, it is an app that allows you to have 1 for 1 on mains at the partnered restaurants. There’s more than a hundred over restaurants for you to choose from. This is also a good opportunity for you to discover new places and even cuisines that you haven’t tried before.

Dubbed as one of the top Indian restaurants in Singapore, Punjab Grill at Marina Bay Sands serves a wide variety of authentic Indian cuisine with a modern touch. From preparation to presentation, Punjab Grill provides a pleasurable gastronomical experience to all their guests. Their top-notch service also makes my dining experience there a memorable one.

In frame, featuring some of Punjab Grill’s signature dishes such as the Kesar-Pisteywali Lusse, Murgh Malai Chicken Tikka, Patiala Shahi Machchi and the Murgh Makhani. Also, Punjab Grill emphasizes on the exquisite plating of its dishes.

Masala Pappad // $12

Also known as ‘Poppadum’, this is a thin crispy wafer topped up with chopped tomatoes, onions and fresh coriander leaves, and with chutney to accompany your meals. Not only is the Poppadum very addictive on its own, the sauces they provide on the side are so delicious as well. My favourites were definitely the mango and guacamole sauce which is freshly-made by the chef everyday. It was so tasty I couldn't stop myself from not finishing every bits of it.

Naan (Butter/Garlic) // $10

Again, this is another very addictive side to accompany your meal. With a similar texture to Roti Prata, Naan are thicker and crispier. Lightly-buttered, the Naan at Punjab Grill is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and it goes extremely well with the rich and flavourful curries.

Kesar-Pisteywali Lusse // $14

Saffron flavoured yoghurt shake, garnished with pistachio flake.

This was just too pretty to be eaten. A lot of thoughts must have been put into constructing and combining all the ingredients together before presenting it to the guests. The yoghurt shake was very smooth, refreshing and appetising. The flavour was also strong but not too overpowering. A must-try at Punjab Grill!

Murgh Malai Chicken Tikka // $42

Morsels of chicken marinated in yoghurt, cashew nut paste and cheese, cooked to perfection in the tandoor.

The chicken was very flavourful. I could taste the different spices used in marinating the chicken. It was well-cooked, the meat was very juicy and tender.

Patiala Shahi Machchi // $40

The princely’s house of fish delicacy –tangy cubes of river sole, flash fried and cooked in a dried plum and tomato gravy.

The tomato based curry was not very spicy. I was also surprised that it was not jelat because it appeared to be when it was served onto my table. The fish was soft, flavourful and tender. Very good to go with Naan or rice.

Murgh Makhani // $40

Tandoor-grilled tikka of chicken, simmered in satin smooth tomato gravy, rich in cashew and made piquant with dried fenugreek.

Again, this was not jelat at all but very addictive. The curry was rich, creamy and aromatic. The flavour was just right, not too overpowering. The chicken was well-marinated and very tender. A must order!

Thank you Punjab Grill for the great hosting and hospitality. I had such a satisfying and memorable meal. Also, thank you the Entertainer App for the super good deal!
