The Reading Room...

Do you love to read and eat? I mean, who doesn’t? You can enjoy both reading and eating at The Reading Room, a hidden gem along Bukit Pasoh road. It’s the perfect spot for you to spend some alone time, treating yourself to a good novel, coffee and food. If you are looking for a quiet and cosy place to chat with your friends, The Reading Room is definitely a good option as well. You can make a reservation at The Reading Room via the Quandoo App! It is super convenient!

I really enjoy the peaceful vibe the café gives. Tried their brunch during the weekends and I must say the food definitely exceeded my expectations. They were simple, not very fanciful but it was comforting. I can see myself chilling in the café for a few hours. You need to check them out!

Iced Matcha Latte // $6.80
Iced Matcha Latte was not too bad. Matcha flavour was strong and the milk was added in proportion to the Matcha powder.

Himalayan Salt Coffee // $5
Not only was the latte art beautiful, the Himalayan Salt Coffee was surprisingly good. The coffee was a combination of sweet, salty and bitter and they were well-balanced, complementing one another very well. Highly recommended! I could totally drink another cup of this!

Deep Fried Mushrooms // $12.80
Mushrooms were well-marinated, well-fried and crispy. The mushrooms were also very juicy. Portion was decent. Dip the crispy mushrooms into the aioli sauce for maximum pleasure!

Buttermilk Pancakes & Fruits // $15.80
Pancakes were soft and fluffy and it paired very well with the fruits, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream. The mint leave added an extra aroma and flavour to the ice cream. Simple but so delicious! My sweet tooth is fixed!

French Toasts & Fruits // $14.80
Again, like the pancakes, the toast was soft and well-toasted. It wasn’t too oily and matched the fruits and ice cream very well. What a life saver under the heat!

Smoked Egg and Herbs / $17.80
As you can see from the picture, the eggs were really on point – super runny. The hollandaise sauce was not too overpowering. Ham was not bad.
