A.R.C Coffee...

As the name of the café suggests, A.R.C which also stands for Academy, Roastery and Café houses to three different storeys with the first level operating as an café and the second level for conducting coffee workshops.

I chanced upon A.R.C Coffee when I was searching the Entertainer App for places to eat in Bugis. It was really very impromptu but at least I got to discover a new café that I haven’t visited yet. With the Entertainer App, I also got to enjoy a 1 for 1 on the mains at A.R.C Coffee with my friend without burning a hole in our pocket. #ENTERTAINERSG #DownloadTheENTERTAINER

In frame, A.R.C Coffee’s Laksa Pasta, Tender Beef Cheeks and Waffle with Coffee Ice Cream. I got the 1 for 1 deal for my Laksa Pasta and Tender Beef Cheeks which means that I don’t have to pay for my Tender Beef Cheeks at all. Really saved me a lot of money, $18.80 to be exact!

Laksa Pasta // $19.80

The pasta was very aromatic but taste wise, it did not impress me. I was expecting the flavour of the pasta to be as strong as what it smells like but sadly it did not. The first mouthful was not too bad but the laksa flavour disappeared very quickly. Probably should add more spices to strengthen the flavour. The clams were soft but some were too sandy. There were also broken clam shells in my pasta which I had to take it out from my mouth because it was stuck to the noodles.

Beef Tender Cheeks // $18.80

The beef cheeks were well-marinated, tender and juicy. It goes extremely well with the mash and seasonal vegetables. A side salad is also provided to complement the beef cheeks. One thing that I thought could be improved would probably be the bread. Adding a bit more butter to the bread could make it more flavourful. Otherwise, this is a must-try!

Waffle with Coffee Ice Cream // $11.80

Yes, the waffle was very photogenic but it was not the type of waffle I liked. It was too soft and fluffy. It would have been better if it was crispier. The coffee ice cream was not too bad. The flavour was strong and it was not too chunky.
