Two Wheels Good...

After all the café/restaurant-hopping, nothing still beats having a table full of popular Singaporean eats. Even when I’m overseas, I will crave for Fried Carrot Cake, Fried Kway Teow and the list goes on. They played an important part in my life.

If you are staying in the West, especially around Jurong Point, you are so fortunate! Two Wheels Good is a new bicycle-themed café (just outside Boon Lay Station) that serves an extensive range of affordable local food. Also, they have really cheap beers for you to pair with your food.

Why weren’t they around when I was still in NTU? It’s really very student-friendly (Students can afford a decent meal here – less than five bucks). So, if you are having a major craving for local eats, Two Wheels Good is the place to get your cravings fixed.

Here are some of the signatures of Two Wheels Good as well as my favourite Singapore/Hawker Food. In frame, Fried Carrot Cake, Fried Kway Teow, Kaya Toast, Rojak, Fried Bee Hoon & Fishball Noodles. Prices were really friendly and the portion was relatively huge!

Bandung // $2
The Bandung had a strong and aromatic rose (but not artificial) flavour! It was a little sweet but I liked it!

Rojak // $4
Rojak is one of my favourite Singaporean dishes. The prawn paste sauce was well-mixed, and they added sufficient enough of shaved peanuts to give that nutty crunch. They also added sliced apples to give the rojak a more refreshing taste! Love it!

Fried Carrot Cake // $4.50
The White Carrot Cake was really fragrant and flavourful! I was salivating when it was served right in front of me! It had a strong eggy smell and I literally had to stop myself from finishing the entire plate.

Fishball Noodles // $4.50
Best to eat it while it’s hot before the noodles get dried up and tangled together! I would recommend you to get the spicier version!

Fried Kway Teow // $5
The Fried Kway Teow was well-fried, with a very strong and aromatic wok hei. It was not too sweet and very addictive! One scoop and I can’t stop!

Fried Bee Hoon // $5
You seldom can find this in Singapore, and even rarer to find one that adds pork belly into the bee hoon. I especially liked the crispy burnt parts because it had a stronger wok hei aroma.

Kaya Toast Set // $3.90
The in-house kaya was fragrant and not overly sweet. They also added another slice of butter to enhance the flavour of the toast. Toast was well-toasted as well!

They conveniently located outside Jurong Point and Boon Lay Mrt Station. Very easy to spot!
