Time For Thai SG...

Cheong Chin Nam has always been a popular dining/supper spot for people residing in the West because of its food diversity. It’s really hard to find a parking slot during the weekends but most people (me included) are more than willing to wait for one. This was one of my favourite to-go supper places for affordable and comforting food during my university life.

Taking over the space by Stirling Café previously, Time For Thai SG is a homely restaurant that serves an extensive range of authentic and mouth-watering Thai cuisine at a very wallet-friendly price. There’s also no GST and service charge! On top of that, they will be extending their operating hours till 4am from next month onwards.

Time For Thai SG is also in the midst of getting their Halal certification which means Muslim friends can enjoy Thai food in no time! Currently, they do not offer any pork and lard in their food. So, bring your family and friends for a sumptuous feast at Time For Thai SG without spending a bomb!

I was pleasantly surprised by how well-executed the dishes were at Time For Thai SG, but more shocked at how affordable they were! Definitely bringing my friends here for supper! Students studying near the area are so fortunate!

Thai Stuffed Chicken Wings // $7.90
These deboned chicken wings were really easy to enjoy and extremely addictive! If I was not on a diet, I would have finished all of them. Meat was well-marinated and flavourful. It was also very crispy and not too oily. Dip it into the Thai chilli sauce for maximum pleasure.

Prawn Cake // $10.90
The prawn cake was well-battered, crispy and very flavourful. It was so good when it was hot! Forget about my calories because this was damn worth the calories gained!

Shrimp Paste Rice // $5.90
For only $5.90, you get such a huge serving of Fried Rice! Not a very huge fan of Shrimp-inspired dishes, but I thought the shrimp flavour in the fried rice wasn’t too overpowering and I could eat at least a few mouthfuls! The lup cheong in the fried rice was nice though! It’s hard to find this in Thai restaurant in Singapore and if you love hae bee, this is the dish for you!

Green Curry // $7.90
This was one of my favourite dish at Time For Thai SG! Green Curry was really flavourful (but not too spicy) and they were really very generous with the ingredients placed in the curry. Can I have a bowl of rice to go with this?

Tom Yum Goong // $7.90
Tom Yum Soup was very appetizing and flavourful. It was quite spicy (the spiciness hits at the end). Highly recommended!

Beef Noodle Soup with Tendons // $7.90
The broth was heavily-spiced and very flavourful, tasted very similar to the one I had in Bangkok a year ago. Again, they were very generous with the ingredients they placed in the soup. Very comforting! The meatballs were my favourite!

Red Ruby // $3.90
This is probably the cheapest dessert in a restaurant you can ever find in Singapore to satisfy your sweet tooth. The shaved ice was fined and it wasn’t overly sweet. I also liked how crunchy the red ruby were! I’m satisfied!

Mango Sticky Rice // $4.90
Mangoes were really sweet which is a plus point for good Mango Sticky Rice. Glutinous rice was drizzled with strong coconut sauce, making it very irresistible. Take this away from me please!

Mangoes so sweet, we were literally fighting for it! So, head down to Time For Thai SG for a great Thai feast with your family and friends!
