The Bravery Cafe...

Lavender is one of the places I love to visit during the weekends because of the vibrant and interesting cafés you can find there. It is also the perfect location where you can relax and sip on a cup of coffee while watching the world go by. The Bravery Café is one hidden gem you can find in Lavender.

Recently, the Bravery Café has rolled out their dinner menu that features mainly Western dishes and is only available on Friday & Saturday. To complete the guests’ dining experience, they have also re-decorated their place with new settings just for dinner. So, impress your girlfriend or boyfriend with a romantic dinner at the Bravery Café.

In frame, the dinner menu that was recently launched at Bravery. You can have high expectations for their dinner menu and from the pictures, you can see that they’ve put in a lot of effort into plating the dishes.

Sirloin Steak 200 grams // $24.90
Best served medium rare, the steak was tender and juicy. Even though I’m not usually a steak-person because of the amount of fats in it, the sirloin at Bravery caught me by surprise. There wasn’t really a lot of fats on the steak and I actually do like the texture of it. The mash was definitely on point and together with the brown sauce, it went very well with the steak. The sautéed mushroom on top was also well-marinated.

Maryland Chicken // $16
Yet to be in the dinner menu but it was the hot favourite of the night. The chicken leg was well-marinated and it has a strong-lasting barbecue flavour. The meat was firm and it was not as dry as what it appears to be like. Again, I’m very impressed with the texture and flavour of the mash.

Cold Duck Breast Pasta // $8
Personally, I thought the chef did a good job in slicing the duck meat. The proportion was just right, not too thin or thick. The garlic parmigiano spaghetti was not too overpowering. Didn’t feel jelat after a few mouthful.

Pan Seared Seabass // $18
The seabass wasn’t fishy and I love the crispy layer on top. The meat inside was soft and a little melty. The way to eat this: Have it together with the pesto sauce and lemon.

Herb Crusted Rack of Lamb // $26.5
Probably not the right person to comment about the lamb because I have always been afraid of the smell and taste of lamb. The people I went with commented that the skin was crispy. Let me know if you like it or not!

Truffle Fries // $7.5
Generous serving of Truffle Fries for only $7.50. Fries were not over-fried and too oily. Truffle flavour was strong.

The Bravery Café also serves really nice coffee.

 Lavender Latte

Cold Brew White
A good balance of coffee and milk. Saver for a scorching hot weather!

Thank you the Bravery Cafe for the great hospitality!
