Nude Seafood...

“We do not only want to cook for the rich, but also bring fine dining quality food to the masses at affordable value,” said Junchen, co-owner of Nude Seafood. Nestled within Marina Bay Financial Centre, Nude Seafood is a romantic and unpretentious restaurant that serves Western-Asian fusion seafood cuisines at a very affordable price. Recently, they have rolled out a brand new dinner menu that revolves around a communal dining concept with 4 dishes at only $49. This family-style dinner menu is definitely great for family dinner – spending quality time with your loved ones over a sumptuous meal.

Preparing and cooking every dish with passion and care, Nude Seafood is a learning ground for all F&B outlets. Not only are they very particular about the flavour, texture, presentation and value of their dishes, they also put a lot of emphasis on the customer’s experience as well as the welfare of their staffs. Nude Seafood’s philosophy - happy team, happy food, happy guests is one reason why the chefs are able to churn out food that makes the guests so satisfied.

Fine dining experience without burning a hole in your pocket.

Swordfish Ceviche // $15
To be honest, my first impression of the dish wasn’t really good. I couldn’t make up what it was when it was served to us. Probably because this is something new to me, and I need some time to process it. But you know what, I was awed after eating it. The swordfish was well-marinated with herbs and spices, giving it a very refreshing taste which was very memorable. Also, the icy cold lime sorbet complemented the fish very well, giving that extra citrusy flavour to the fish that will make you wanting for more. A good appetizer, indeed!

Angkar Prawns // $16
This was one of my favourite dish at Nude Seafood! Needless to say, the prawns were very fresh. The prawns had a strong yet not overpowering lemongrass flavour which I really liked. Topped with the pickled papaya, this dish is so Thai-delicious! Definitely a must order!

Baby Squid // $14

The baby squid was really flavourful. I love the texture – not too chewy or tough. It was very addictive and I couldn’t stop myself from popping the squid into my mouth. Kudos to the chef for putting the Japanese sweet potato into the dish which adds an extra sweetness and texture to the savoury squid.

Hokkaido Scallops // $19
The chicken ‘lollipop’ was tender and it was well-marinated with the Gochujang sauce. Scallops were equally tasty as well. It was sweet and flavourful.

Ocean Trout // $26
The fish was super melty (literally melts in the mouth) and it was filled with yuzu flavour which retains in the mouth. I also liked the cereal-crusted pumpkin which were not oily and dry.

Barramundi // $25
I always have a love-hate relationship with Barramundi. If not prepared or cooked properly, Barramundi has a fishy smell and taste. The Barramundi here was well-cooked, especially the adding of the tomato-capsicum salsa which I believe covered the fishy smell and taste. With the skin so crispy and the meat so soft, I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t want to order this!

Flower Grouper in Broth // $24
If you like a soup-base fish dish, then you should go for the grouper! The broth was rich and flavourful and it feels very shiok to eat it with the super fresh and tender group. The only thing I thought could be improved was the King Oyster Mushroom. It was a little tough for me!

Live Blue Mussels // $24
Major love for the well-marinated and tender pork belly! The Manilla clams were sweet, soaked with the flavour from Shaoxing hua tiao wine.

Matcha Ramen // $8
After a hearty meal, this comforting Matcha Ramen will be served to the table. I was exhilarating with joy because I’m a huge Matcha fan. The noodles were springy and has a subtle Matcha flavour.

Chocolate, Blueberry & Thyme // $14
Chocolate-lovers will fall in love with this dessert. It was chocolatey but not too sweet. The berries added neutralise the jelatness from the chocolate. Served with a scoop of ice cream, this dessert is what you need after work!

Mango, Coconut & Thai Basil // $12
Very refreshing dessert which has a well-balance sweet & sour flavour. Coconut was really strong and aromatic!
