Caffe Zeppin...

Located within Midview City (Commercial Building), Caffe Zeppin is a few months old café that offers an extensive range of authentic Taiwanese and Japanese cuisines at a very reasonable price. Opened by the friendly Taiwanese couple, you can expect to find the all-time favourite Taiwanese Pork Braised Rice as well as succulent Japanese Donburis. The location of the café might not be that accessible for most people (unless your office is at Midview City or you’re living around the Sin Ming area) but it is a great place for a quiet family dinner. Enough said, head down to Caffe Zeppin with your family one of these days for some comforting Taiwanese and Japanese food!

P/s: You don’t have to worry about getting a cab at Midview City because Grab and Uber’s office is located beside Caffe Zeppin! Confirm can grab or uber one!

The food at Caffe Zeppin may appears to be a little simple, but I can guarantee you that the dishes were flavourful and not too oily. Drinks were especially interesting and refreshing as well. In frame, Kanikama Salad, Aglio Olio, Taiwanese Braised Minced Pork, Pork Belly Don, Chawanmushi, Matcha Green Tea Latte.

I See Dreams // $3
The Milk Tea was not too sweet and very fragrant. It tasted especially good after the long walk to the café.

Butterfly Pea Apple Juice // $4
Always sceptical about coloured drinks but this was not too bad. Not overly sweet and very refreshing!

Chawanmushi // $2.90
The Chawanmushi was soft and silky, with an aromatic egg flavour. It was flavourful and damn the Japanese fishcake is huge! Very comforting!

Kanikama Salad // $6.90
Simple and refreshing salad for the health-conscious crowd! Vegetables were well-mixed and crunchy, and generous servings of crabmeat. The sesame dressing was fragrant and definitely matches the salad well.

Aglio Olio // $9.90
Pasta was flavourful and not too oily. Generous portion of prawns as well.

Pork Belly Don // $7.50
Damn! This succulent bowl of Pork Belly Don was to die for! Pork Belly was well-marinated, tender and juicy. It paired so well with the runny egg! Superb!

Taiwanese Braised Minced Pork // $6.90
The minced pork was very fragrant and flavourful. It wasn’t too salty and the egg again was so well-cooked. Look at how beautiful it is. The yolk literally melts in the mouth!

Fried Kway Teow // $6.90
Fried Kway Teow was fragrant, flavourful and has a strong wok hei flavour. One thing I liked about it is that it is not very oily.

Mini Waffle with Single Scoop Ice Cream // $6.50
Waffle was not too bad – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Matcha ice cream wasn’t too overly sweet.
