Caffe Beviamo...

Caffe Beviamo has been around in Singapore for 17 years? Are you kidding me? How did I not know about this hidden gem at all? Located at Tanglin Mall, Caffe Beviamo is an Australian casual dining restaurant that offers an extensive range of gluten-free dishes (from salads, burgers to pizzas) at a reasonable price. It’s rare to find a café in Singapore that serves authentic and popular Australian food such as Lamington, Sticky Date Pudding and Toast with Vegemite. Caffe Beviamo is also very kid-friendly which is very suitable for a family outing during the weekends. So, if you are around Orchard, you might want to check out this place for some healthy and delicious Australian food! P/s: They also serve nice coffee, especially Chai Latte!

The dishes at Caffe Beviamo are simple but that doesn’t mean there aren’t tasty. Unpretentious presentation but the food here are flavourful and comforting. My favourites were the pizzas and the addictive sticky date. It’s a good place to chill or take a break after an intense shopping in Orchard. Other than that, perfect for a family meal (suitable for families with young kids) during the weekends!

Chicken & Avocado // $18

Don’t be fooled by its simple presentation because the salad was refreshing and very appetising. The chicken breast was dressed in lemon mayo (balanced sweet-sour combination) and it wasn’t tough. It definitely goes well with the avocado (major love for all avocado dishes), flaked almonds (adds an extra nutty flavour) and crunchy celery. Did I also not mention how huge the portion was? It’s really hard to believe that one person can finish this entire bowl by himself/herself. Try it if you are on a salad-diet!

Prawns Spaghetti // $15

Pasta was really simple, nothing fantastic but still relatively comforting. It was rich in flavour (tomato flavour was strong but not overpowering), and not overly sweet. I would probably add some tobasco to spice things up a little. But this is definitely good if you need to order something for your kids.

Pepperoni // $16

Personally, I thought the pizzas at Caffe Beviamo are stronger as compared to their other mains (maybe because I haven’t tried all of them and let me know what you think). The pizza are thin slice and very crispy. Pepperoni pizza here is flavourful and mild spicy. Highly recommended!

Garlic Prawn // $15

Let the picture do all the talking. Just look at the gooey cheese pulled from the pizza. As compared to the Pepperoni, the Garlic Prawn Pizza wasn’t that heavy even though it was cheesier.

Sticky Date Pudding // $7.50

This was my favourite dish at Caffe Beviamo. Not kidding but this was one of the best Sticky Date Pudding I’ve tried in Singapore so far. The cake was soft and moist, and the sauce was not overly sweet and jelat. Ice cream was normal but it complemented the cake very well. One bite and I can’t seem to stop myself from finishing it! Super addictive and calories so worth gaining!
